The front of The Rock is in need of repair. When it rains water leaks in behind the white metal above our windows. Our sign and awnings are worn out. Our windows and doors let a lot of cold in. The Rock was eligible for a grant from the city of Albert Lea because of its location in Albert Lea’s National Historical District. If we were willing to bring back the building to its original historic appearance we could apply for up to $50,000 in matching funds. We are happy to announce that The Rock has received the matching grant and we are launching a campaign to raise $50,000 for the project.
