The YMCA is a non-profit charity with a cause to strengthen communities. We raise funds annually to help keep Y services accessible to all.

The YMCA has a cause—to strengthen communities. Every day we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We are focused on three key areas:

  • Youth Development: nurturing the potential of every child and teen
  • Healthy Living: improving our communities’ health and well-being
  • Social Responsibility: giving back and providing support to our neighbors

The Minneapolis Y has been serving our area since 1866. Today that mission is delivered through health and fitness programs, after-school centers for urban kids, child care, day and overnight camps, swim lessons, youth sports, senior activities, programs that support youth in crisis, and more.
