ST MICHAELS HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

St. Michael's Hospital was opened at its current location along the shores of Sauk Lake in 1950. Today, St. Michael's is a federally accredited Critical Access Hospital, owned by the Sauk Centre community. Our medical complex includes a 25-bed hospital, a 60-bed nursing home, a hospice/homecare program, and a 31-unit independent living complex.

In 2006, Our Hospice/Home Care program was named to the first-ever Home-Care Elite, which means it rates within the top 25 percent of Medicare-certified home health care providers in the areas of quality, improvements, and financial performance. In 2008, St. Michael's was designated a Level IV Trauma Hospital by the Minnesota Statewide Trauma System of the Minnesota Department of Health.
