Programs

The mission of Sobriety High is best fostered in a special environment -- our students and staff describe it more like a "family" or "community" with small classroom spaces, low student/teacher ratios (one teacher for every seven students), safe, intimate surroundings, and daily opportunities for intense group and one-on-one peer counseling. Our approach not only helps students establish a good foundation in sobriety, but also positions them for continued success beyond our doors. A 1997 survey of Sobriety High alumni (1991-1996) showed a phenomenal fifty-four percent remaining "clean and sober." Since 1996, we retained more than seventy percent of enrolled students and over ninety percent of all seniors, a sure indication that our hands-on blend of academic performance and recovery reinforcement is working.

With the overflow in MN adolescent treatment centers, there needs to be many more schools like this for kids to become successful adults and adapt the thought process that thier past does not need to become thier future. Hope starts here.
