The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Salvation Army programs throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts include, but is not limited to the following: Children's Learning Center (Day Car) in Dorchester, Our Place (Day Care Center for Homeless children) in Cambridge, Kids F.E.A.S.T (Food, Education, Activity, Spirituality and Teaching) program in Waltham, Camp Wonderland (a residential summer camp for children through Massachusetts), Adult Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centers, Food Pantries, Bridging the Gap program (youth involved with Courts), statewide Senior programs (day care, etc), Disaster Relief Programs and many more.
