iMentor is a high-impact, school-based organization whose mission is to improve the lives of young people from underserved communities in New York City through innovative, technology-based approaches to mentoring. We aim to serve as a catalyst for a National Mentoring Movement. Our vision is to see all youth connected to adult role models who will motivate and guide them through high school, college and beyond.

Created in 1999, iMentor began with 49 students in a single school in the South Bronx. Just ten years later, we now serve 1,200 high school students and have matched and supported a total of 7,000 mentor-mentee pairs (14,000 participants), partnering with more than 30 schools located in some of the most underserved and economically-disadvantaged communities in New York City. In 2007, iMentor began helping organizations all over the world to implement high-impact mentoring programs based on our proven model with the launch of our national technical assistance program, iMentor Interactive. With the support of our dedicated mentor community, iMentor creates relationships that change the trajectory of mentees lives.
