Your support ensures that the arts have a place to thrive in Minnesota.

Did you know…

  • At risk students often cite their participation in the arts as the primary reason for staying in school?
  • Students who are exposed to the Arts such as drama or music are better able to master reading, writing and math than those who focus solely on academics?
  • Arts programs are the first on the chopping block when budgets are cut?

Support the Power of the Arts

Hennepin Theatre Trust’s New Century Theatre serves as the new home for our nationally recognized arts education program and will allow us to reach 56 schools statewide and over 18,000 Minnesotans—right here in inner city Minneapolis through our SpotLight Musical Theatre, Distance Learning, Critical View and Access programs.

When you donate to the Trust on Give to the Max you are helping us put the finishing touches on the New Century Theater, our local theatre and state of the art “theatre classroom.”

$15,000 Reasons to Give…and more

The power of your donation is doubled on Give to the Max Day! Thanks to a dollar for dollar challenge match from W Hotel, Chambers and Le Meridien in the amount of $15,000. Our goal is to meet the match by noon on November 16--and when we do, we’re not stopping! Once we hit the $30,000 goal we have another very generous anonymous challenge match that kicks in offering an additional $20,000 in dollar for dollar matching funds –that’s a potential $70,000 for increased arts education and access in just one day because of our generous challenge funders and YOU!

In addition, we also have several opportunities for you to interact with us on social media and even win free tickets to Lion King, Jerry Seinfeld, and a host of other shows throughout the day!

The Hennepin Theatre Trust has revitalized Hennepin Avenue in a wonderful way. There is thriving activity on the street, more people coming downtown to partake in the Trust theatres, more excitement over the joy exuberating from the stages, and a win win situation for the city and for all!!! Keep up the great work.

I'm not only a Hennepin Theatre Trust employee, but also an enthusastic supporter who thinks that the work done in and around the fantastic and historic State, Orpheum and Pantages Theatres is important to support. This is why I've chosen to give dollars in addition to time and energy I already devote as a staff member.

Always a pleasure to participate in a fine theater experience.
