CHURCH OF NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES
A US registered nonprofit

RICHFIELD, MN

CONLCM is to be a multi-ethnic worshipping community alive with the love of Jesus, praying fervently and working heartily to serve and embrace our Twin Cities neighbors.

Located in the heart of Richfield, CONLCM is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ holistically. We specifically seek to help develop well-rounded youth and to build strong families on foundations of faith, hope, and love.

Our congregation includes people from all over the Twin Cities. In 2006, growth of programming led us to purchase our current ministry site at 7101 Nicollet Avenue South in Richfield where we have increased ministry space and facilities for:
• Faith, Word, and Sacraments
• Marriage Enrichment
• Family Building
• Youth Development
• Occupational Training
• Community Development
• Child Care
• Entrepreneurial Incubation
• Reconciliation of Diverse Sectors
• City-wide Gatherings
• Leadership Development

We invite you to consider making a special gift to support one or more of the following service projects we initiated in 2006.

1. Kidchen Kafe and Kidz Adventure
Growing up is an adventure in any urban setting. At CONLCM, we are committed to helping children and teens become well-rounded, safe, and healthy people. Through Kidz Adventure, we partner with parents, schools, public agencies, and others to invest love and life into the lives of dozens of kids through daily mentoring, instruction, regular field trips, and varied learning experiences.

In June of 2006, building upon our work through Kidz Adventure and the New Life Catering enterprise, we began operating a project entitled Kidchen Kafe which teaches junior and senior high youth life skills and services. The objective is to equip them with necessary life and occupational skills, supported by positive social values, through a structured twelve month instruction and hands-on training program. Through partial funding by the Youth Works Foundation and the support of the University of MN Extension Department, we have been able to start our first cohort of 7 youth. We will add three additional cohorts so that by the 4th quarter of the operating year, we will be serving 28 youth in the Kidchen Kafe.

The kids love it. They receive positive reinforcement for their involvement, recognitions, and skills that transfer to academic work in school and their social and domestic relationships.

The congregation loves it. On the 1st Sunday of every month, the Kidchen Kafe, supported by adult mentors with professional culinary arts and commercial credentials, prepare and serve the congregation and community guests a full course meal with linen and flatware.

Families love it. Students discover what it takes to produce income.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

Kidchen Kafe must raise $30,000 from foundation, businesses, and individuals for this fiscal year.

Your one-time gift of $1,100 or monthly contributions totaling $1,100 over the next 12 months will pay the full cost of a youth's education and training at Kidchen Kafe.

Kidz Adventure

Your financial support will enable CONLCM to purchase and maintain a 15 passenger van to transport youth. Your support may also be designated for acquisition of computers, supplies, and related equipment used in the program.

Give what you can. No gift is too small.
