Children of Uganda
A US registered nonprofit

Charles Town, WV USA
Children of Uganda was established in 1995 to care for orphans and other disadvantaged children in Uganda.

The mission of Children of Uganda is to support and empower hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda to lead successful and productive lives. Our vision is that all children in Uganda receive an education to become healthy, productive members of their community who assume leadership roles and positively impact Ugandan society. Children of Uganda is on the ground and working with local non-governmental organizations and community groups to address the needs of Uganda’s most vulnerable population. We are providing the necessities of life today - shelter, food, clothing, education, and medical care if needed. We are also looking forward and ensuring the children in our care have the life skills necessary to achieve success in their future. Due to a lack of government-subsidized education, extended families and orphanages face an enormous financial barrier to educating Uganda's children. Children of Uganda is helping to address this unmet need by providing education and support to AIDS-related orphans and vulnerable children, while at the same time promoting global awareness of the effects of HIV/AIDS. Through our education and support programs in Uganda and the Children of Uganda tour, we are able to give hope to children in Uganda and help the world understand the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS on children in developing nations.

  3. Ethel Bustamante
Ethel Bustamante I have meet the persons involved with Children of Uganda. they are all excellent and committed individuals with a big heart. Their care for these children is not at a long distance basis. They are constantly in touch with the children in Uganda. A smile from a happy and nourished child creates wonder, peace and harmony in our heart , much more than superficial purchases.
