Razoo Giving Guide: National Parks
Yellowstone, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Acadia: Ranging from desolate deserts to lush forests, huge redwood trees to rocky coastlines, America’s national parks and public lands are nothing short of awe-inspiring. The 84 million acres of unspoiled wilderness that make up our country’s national park system are protected by the federal government, so that all may visit and marvel at the beauty of the landscape.
But we can’t take our national parks and public lands for granted. It costs over $2.2 billion each year to maintain the National Parks system, and government funding for these stunning areas is dwindling every year. Without support from nonprofit organizations like these, we risk losing our greatest national treasures. Here are some of the groups working to ensure that your children—and your children’s children—will have the opportunity to stare in wonder at the vast expanses of unspoiled beauty in our national parks and public areas. Raise money for these nonprofits and other nonprofits.
